What to Expect

What Happens After You Purchase

Once you complete your purchase, here’s what to expect:

Onboarding Phase

  • Purchase Confirmation
  • A confirmation email will be sent from Magnata Marketing (the parent agency behind Maker Magnate). This is your receipt, so hang onto it for your records.
  • Welcome and Onboarding Form
  • Shortly after, you’ll receive a welcome email with a link to your onboarding form. This form gathers everything needed to tailor your setup.

To complete your onboarding form, you’ll need:

  • Your brand colors (hex codes preferred)
  • Logo files (PNG, SVG, or high-res JPG)
  • Product photos (or lifestyle shots)
  • Font files
  • Access to DNS settings (usually through your hosting platform or domain registrar)
  • Basecamp Setup
  • The welcome email will include a private link to join Basecamp. Please use only this link to sign up—it allows you to create a free account under the agency plan and ensures you’re added to the correct project space.
All communication will happen inside Basecamp to keep everything organized and on track.
  • Onboarding Call
  • Once your form is submitted, you’ll receive a link to schedule your 30-minute onboarding call. This is where the direction and deliverables are confirmed before the build begins.

Copywriting Phase

  • Copy Comes First
  • Email copy is written before design to make sure the message is strong and strategic from the start.
  • Google Doc for Feedback
  • Copy drafts are shared in a Google Doc where feedback can be added as comments directly on the file.
  • One Round of Edits Per Email
  • Each email includes one round of copy revisions to fine-tune tone, structure, or message— this keeps the project moving forward efficiently.
  • 24-Hour Feedback Window
  • To stay on schedule, feedback should be submitted within 24 business hours of receiving your drafts.
  • 72-Hour Auto-Approval
  • If no feedback is received within 72 business hours, the version will be considered approved so the next phase can begin without delay.

Klaviyo Setup

  • Account Creation and Integration
  • If you don’t already have a Klaviyo account, one will be created for you and connected to your online store. Your account will be reviewed, optimized, and configured with your brand settings to ensure everything is set up correctly for performance, deliverability, and ease of use.
  • Domain Authentication
  • Your main domain will be verified, and a dedicated sender domain will be set up for email deliverability. This step helps protect your sending reputation and ensures your emails land where they’re supposed to—in the inbox.
  • List and Tag Structure
  • You’ll have a clean, organized list setup with clear segments and tag structure to support long-term growth and engagement.

Design Phase

  • Design Drafts Delivered
  • Once the copy is approved, you’ll receive email design previews—either in Google Docs or through Figma, depending on what’s best for your project.
  • Collaborative Feedback
  • Just like with the copy, you’ll be able to leave comments directly on the design file for any tweaks or edits.
  • One Round of Revisions Per Email
  • One round of design edits is included to fine-tune layout, flow, and visual feel.
  • 24-Hour Feedback Window
  • To stay on track, please submit any edit requests within 24 business hours.
  • 72-Hour Auto-Approval
  • If no response is received within 72 business hours, the design will be considered approved so the project can move forward on schedule.

Buildout Phase

  • Flow Creation and Triggers
  • All email flows included in your package will be built directly inside Klaviyo, with proper triggers, filters, and logic based on best practices.
  • Email Implementation
  • The final copy and designs are loaded into Klaviyo and formatted for desktop and mobile viewing.
  • Testing and QA
  • Each flow is tested to make sure emails send as expected and that everything is firing properly behind the scenes.

Launch Phase

  • Go-Live and Activation
  • Once everything’s been tested and approved, your email system will be turned on. You’ll officially be live and ready to start converting.
  • Final Review and Support
  • You’ll have a chance to ask any final questions and review the completed setup together inside Basecamp.
  • Offboarding and Next Steps
  • You’ll receive a wrap-up note along with any final documentation or recommendations for what to do next. Support is always just a message away.
